The Journey is long and continues and will for the rest of my life. As I am coming up to my 53rd birthday I am proud to say that I am still keeping off the weight. I have gained a few pounds but I am not out of control. 

I made this box card because of seeing so many on Pinterest

It was fun to get them out again for this card.

Today was Caitie's 19th Birthday. I love this girl with all my heart. She has made so proud. 

I made a Minion card for her. 

She is in college for Integrated Animation so I thought she would love an animated card.

The money she received tucked nicely into the pop up mechanism. 

This is a painting that my daughter did for her grade 12 painting class. I just love this guy!



Card Class

Last night was my turn to come up with a class. I decided to do a brayer class. I found a great card on line and it was made by Kerri Metzger. She gives credit to other people also. That is the crazy thing about sharing your art. It will get cased and the credit could go back to many people so it is hard to really find out who the ORIGINAL creator was. Then of course it even get crazier now with You Tube and Pinterest. So if you were the original creator of the technique and I have thought they were beautiful enough to copy let me know.

The next cards are all done with the same colours of ink pads yet they all look different.



This next card is an original and I really like how it turned out.

  

I have started having card classes again and this has been the class I have been teaching. Today is the last class using these desgins. I have been inspired by two other card makes for the next 2 cards. They are simular to these but not exact card.



The next card is an original and my friend Bonnie helped create it with me.

I love the ribbon I found that says if the crown fits wear it.

If you look at the stamp it has a crown at the top so I had to get the ribbon.

There is a jewel in the big crown at the top and a little jewel on the crown that is on the ribbon.

Here are the hands that Caitie drew for art class she got 100% on them.

For Bonnie

I thought I would celebrate Bonnie's birthday a week early with this card. It is a Hero arts stamp set that has dies that cut around the images. I coloured the images with copic markers.

Christmas Canvas

I saw a small canvas in a store decorated for Christmas.

I knew I had one at home so this is what I came up with.

 I was pleased with this but every time I looked at it I knew something was off....

So take a look at the second one and you will see one change that made it all better.

That's right the blingy layer behind Santa.

Gourdo

Here is the process of making Gourdo.

I love gourds each one is unique.

The process of getting to the dried gourd can take almost a year.

The most tedious is cleaning the mouldy skin off and getting to the "wood".

Once that it is done the crafting begins.

 I use the stem from the gourd to make the nose.

I loved making this centre piece for a special lady. I also loive paper crafting so putting the two things together was so much fun.

Copic colouring

Here is a pcture of a colouring I did on the weekend. The stamp is by Outlines Rubber Stamp Company Inc.

The Pictures became a mini book

When I moved into my new home there were great window and great spots for bird feeders. The previous owners had left a huge feeder and a beautiful bird house. I added a few more feeders and the birds started coming. I have seen more than what ended up here but I could not get any good pictures of them. So I had this cute bird shaped album and filled it up.

Copic Class was a blast!!

           August 13 my good friend Bonnie and I went to a class on how to colour with copic markers.

Here we are Me, Teacher Suzanne and Bonnie.

We had a very good day and as always spread our cheer everywhere we go.

The next day I redid my colour chart and threw it in the garbage.

The cat decided that he would get the page out and see what colours suited him.

                   I think he was a little upset with the colours I chose to use on this card he sent to Bonnie



My new print

This ones for you Bonnie. Bonnie bought this print but she did not like it in her home. I was happy to buy it from her as it matches my comforter. And my house dress....LOL
